On 9th April 2012, President of Vietnam National University Hanoi - Prof.PhD. Mai Trong Nhuan has approved the Decision 1189/QD-TCCB, appointing Dr. Vu Anh Dzung, who is the Dean of Faculty of International Business & Economics to the post of UEB Vice Rector.

On 29th March 2012, a European Union (EU) commission paid a work visit to VNU University of Economics and Business and held a discussion with the University’s faculty members and students.

Twenty-five first learners of “Building Female Entrepreneurial Skills for SMEs in ASEAN Countries” in a joint training project between Sydney University (Australia) and VNU University of Economic and Business finished their training course on 27th March 2012.

On 16th March 2012, 25 graduates of Master Program of Public Management (MPPM) intake 3 have received their diploma, conferred by VNU University of Economics and Uppsala University, Sweden.

After 3 years since its debut, Vietnam Annual Economic Report by the Vietnam Center for Economic and Policy Research (VNU University of Economics and Business) has become a reference for many organizations and economic organizations. The launching conference of the report has been always attracting the media and the press to attend and broadcast the events.

On 14th December 2011, the VNU University of Economics and Business has cooperated with Bao Son Group to hold Bao Son Prize Award Ceremony 2010. The prize is awarded to excellent scientific technology works with highly academic, innovative, creative, and applicable values by individual scientist or groups of scientists.

On 14th December 2011, VNU University of Economics and Business has organized the graduation ceremony of Master Program in Public Management which jointly trained by VNU - UEB and Uppsala University (Sweden).

On 10th January 2011, Minister of Ministry of Education and Training has signed the decision 189/QD-BGDDT which appointed Prof. Nguyen Hong Son to the Rector post of University of Economics and Business - VNU, 2011 - 2016 term.

On 23rd October 2010, at meeting hall of University of Economics and Business - VNU, the university has held the meeting of 25th course Alumni (1980-1985) after 30 years since the school day. Attending to the meeting were nearly 50 alumni and 10 lecturers teached the course.
